Fort Walton Beach Woman's Club Shares!!
Members of the Fort Walton Beach Woman's Club donated 4 full shelves of edibles more suited for those children in the our community needing assistance!! Thank you so much for your awesome donation and recognizing S&C and its continual need for donations in order to help those in need in our community!!! Thanks to everyone for your continued support!!!
Impact100 Shares!!
Impact100 Summer Session was held at Sharing & Caring last Thursday night. They had over 40 ladies who donated 601 food items and $514. What a generous group of ladies who really care about what we do and our community. A big thanks for your donations Thursday and the 2021 donation of $104,500 that was the funding that allowed us to renovate our facility!!
Matt Sexton & Christian Care!!
Thank you to Matt Sexton and Christian for their generous donation of Chick-fil-A meal cards in support of Sharing and Caring's Hope Florida Project. Sharing & Caring was chosen to receive this grant by First Lady Mrs. Casey Desantis. The Hope Florida Project was established to benefit Florida's students in the public education system or a program provided by a public school prekindergarten-12. S&C is working to help provide food to particular clients through this program.
Prestonwood Baptist Church Shares!!
Teenagers from grades 7th through 12th accompanied by around 200 adult volunteer chaperones have been coming to Ft. Walton Beach for the last 5 years. They all belonged to a youth group visiting from Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. This highly anticipated event provides an opportunity for the youth to enjoy our area's stunning beaches, engage in fellowship and bible study within smaller greoups, and attend services at the First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach. While here the group donated 4-5 pickup truck loads of food donations to Sharing & Caring!! Thank you so very much for your donation and we hope you enjoyed your visit to our area!!
Fort Walton Elks Lodge Cares!!
Fort Walton Elks Lodge 1795 donated $4,000 from its Elks National Foundation Beacon Grant March 8 to Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County, Inc., located in Fort Walton Beach, Niceville and Crestview, Florida.
Sharing & Caring is an emergency food source for those in need who qualify within guidelines. It is available to anyone who resides within the area of Hurlburt Field on the west, to Destin on the east and to Eglin Air Force Base on the north. Their clients include families, children, seniors, the unhoused and the unemployed. Area churches, civic organizations, individuals, businesses fund the all-volunteer organizations.

St Peter Catholic Church Shares!!
St. Peter Catholic Church held a food drive on February 11th for their Soup-er Bowl luncheon. (soup and salad). The back of a pickup was full and trunk of a car !! Thanks to everyone at St. Peters for your support!! Value of donation was almost $3000.

Amvets Post 29 Destin donated $500 to Sharing & Caring last week. Thanks to the group for their donation. American Veterans is a non-partisan, volunteer-led organization formed by World War II veterans of the United States military. It advocates for its members as well as for causes that its members deem helpful to the nation at large. Thanks so much for all your community support!!!

7th Special Forces Group & Clark Family Dental Share!!
7th Special Forces Group presented Sharing and Caring with 8,750 pounds of can goods/food staples Donation!! It was their 7th straight year making the same type donation!! Thank you so much for your Service to our country and for your support of S&C!!! As you see it took a number of people including Special forces staff, S&C volunteers and a Big hand from Clark Family Dental (Korin, Sierra, Rhonde, Amanda, Patti and Dr. Zachary) to go through donations and separate into type!! Thanks to all. A busy morning for sure!!!

Abby Sweeney Cares!!
Look what this amazing young lady did for a school project! Abby Sweeney raised money to donate to Sharing and Caring food bank. Abby raised almost $300 for S&C. This is the 2nd time Abby has been part of a fundraiser for S&C. Abby partnered with the AJ's Restaurants and Bars raising another nice sum of money. HCA Florida Fort Walton-Desing Hospital & HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital Shares!!
According to the Florida Department of Health, food insecurity impacts 12.3% of Okaloosa County's population.
That's why HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital recently teamed up to collect donations for local food banks as part of our Healthy Food for Healthier Tomorrows Food and Nutrition Drive.
Together, we were able to donate nearly 1,000 pounds of food - or 819 meals - to Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County, Inc. and Sharing & Caring of Niceville.

The food and funds were collected from their offices in Pensacola, Crestview, and Ft Walton Beach. WOW, thank you and your associates so much for this generous donation of food and money. Groundbreaking Ceremonies!!
These photos were taken at the Groundbreaking Ceremonies for S & C's building extension and remodeling on August 11, 2022. S & C is the recipient of a large grant from Impact 100 which is enabling them to do the much needed extension of the building as well as remodeling so we will have more pantry space. We appreciate all who attended and are looking forward to our Grand Opening several months from now.
